The vineyards and olive groves of Abruzzo produce some of the finest wine and olive oil that Italy has to offer.

At the Agriturismo Montupoli  we produce olives and grapes, which are harvested and sold to the local cooperative. We pay particular attention to the cultivation of our produce to ensure that it meets the quality expected by the cooperative and its customers.

Many of our guests are fascinated with olive oil and wine production and are always keen to discover as much as they can about the processes involved during their stay with us. In response to this interest we felt that there was more we could offer our guests who might want to get involved in a practical way.

There is nothing quite so satisfying as seeing the olives and grapes of Agriturismo Montupoli mature during the summer months and then harvesting them later in the year to produce the wine and olive oil that Abruzzo is famous for.

We would like to give our guests the opportunity to experience this feeling for themselves and we are therefore very excited this year to be introducing a ‘practical’ holiday for those who would like to get involved in the production process by having a go for themselves.

We want guests to join us at the start of the growing season to help us prepare the vines and olive trees for the forthcoming season, then to return in the autumn to help harvest the crop!

Don’t worry, it won't all be work, there will be plenty of opportunity for our guests to relax and enjoy the facilities of our Agriturismo and the beautiful scenery of Abruzzo!

If you cannot be there for both events then why not join us for either the preparation or harvest period. During the growing season you will be able to check on progress via the Internet.
