Walking Holidays

Agriturismo Montupoli is situated in some of the most breathtaking and spectacular scenery that Italy has to offer. Its proximity to one of Abruzzo’s three National Parks and 30 nature reserves make it and ideal venue for walking holidays.

Closest of all is the Majella National Park, which encircles Mount Amaro (2793m), the second highest peak in the Apennine range. From its alpine meadows and tree-covered slopes to the baron landscape at higher altitude, its diversity is spectacular. The park is also home to an abundance of wildlife including Deer, Marsican Bears, Wolves and Golden Eagles.

From our Agriturismo it is possible to walk along the River Foro, which meanders through the olive groves, vineyards and Mediterranean woodland to the beach at Francavilla al Mare or to hills and mountain of the Majella National Park (app 2/3 hours).

We cater for independent walkers and small groups either choosing to make their own arrangements or preferring a packed lunch and venues chosen by us. What ever your requirements we will be able to assist!
